Simulation and Application of High Density Electrical Method in Engineering Karst Exploration
the high-density resistivity method can better reflect the distribution of underground karst caves when the survey line is long
but when the survey is limited by the site and the survey line is short
the exploration of underground karst caves with high-density resistivity method needs further study. The trend characteristics of underground karst caves are obtained by simulating the underground karst caves with relatively short time of survey line in the high-density resistivity method. As karst geological body is generally caused by long-term groundwater dissolution
it presents low resistivity characteristics compared with surrounding rock. Therefore
the more developed the karst cave is the lower the resistivity response characteristic value of karst body will be. Based on this
it is applied in the research area. The application results show that
when the survey line is short
the distribution of karst caves by using the trend characteristics of karst caves have a high consistency with the actual drilling data
so as to provide a reliable reference basis for engineering building foundation exploration.
