Experimental Study of Characteristics of Hydrogen and Natural Gas Diffusion Flames
The basic combustion characteristics of the fuel such as liftoff height
laminar burning velocity and jet exit velocity are directly related to the designing of the combustion device. This paper explores liftoff height and jet exit velocity of H2
H2/CH4 and H2/CH4/CO2 diffusion flames experimentally. Besides
laminar burning velocity is also studied in detail. From the research
jet liftoff height increases linearly along with the increasing of jet exit velocity. In addition
laminar burning velocity increases exponentially corresponding to the increasing of hydrogen concentration. Especially after hydrogen concentration is over 40%
laminar burning velocity increases significantly along with hydrogen concentration increasing.
