Three dimensional space vector modulation strategy based on phase regulation for three-phase series-end winding motors
Regulating the phase of the B-phase winding can effectively reduce the current stress on the two middle inverter legs of the series-winding machine and enhance its load capability. However
the voltage vector distribution deviates from the conventional position after phase regulation
causing severe coupling between the fundamental plane and the zero-sequence axis
which increases modulation complexity and induces coupling between the torque and the zero-sequence current. To address these issues
a three-dimensional space vector modulation strategy was proposed for the three-phase series-winding machine with phase regulation. First
a deadbeat current predictive controller was developed for accurate zero-sequence current tracking. Then
the fundamental plane modulation was achieved through sector division in three-dimensional space. Furthermore
a zero-sequence voltage compensation strategy was presented to suppress the coupling effect of the fundamental plane voltage vectors on the zero-sequence axis by adjusting the injected zero-sequence voltage. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed strategy suppresses the zero-sequence current to 0.152 A
