Multi-input converter with bipolar voltage self-balancing capability
Driven by the large-scale integration of distributed new energy and the upgrading of the power systems
bipolar DC microgrids possess significant application value. Aiming at the inter-pole voltage imbalance issue existing in current bipolar DC microgrids
a multi-input converter with voltage self-balancing capability between the two poles was proposed. This converter provides excellent bipolar voltage self-balancing capability even under unbalanced loading conditions of the positive and negative poles
without requiring additional complex voltage balancing control algorithms. Additionally
the converter features advantages such as low switching device stress
simple control method
and flexible structural expandability. Firstly
the converter deduction process was introduced. Secondly
the operation mode analysis
voltage conversion gain
and device stress of the proposed converter were analyzed. Then
the output voltage self-balancing principle of the converter was elaborated in detail
and its quantitative calculation was carried out. Finally
an experimental prototype with a rated power of 1 kW was built
which verifies that the prototype has good voltage self-balancing performance
demonstrating correctness and effectiveness of the theoretical analysis.
