As critical infrastructure for flood control and disaster prevention

water conservancy facilities require effective inspection and management. In the face of increasingly frequent extreme weather events and the low efficiency of traditional inspection

existing approaches can no longer meet operational needs

making new solutions urgently necessary. This paper investigates the integration of artificial intelligence(AI) into water conservancy facility inspection and management

analyzes shortcomings of existing management approaches

reviews the application and challenges of AI technologies in water conservancy and urban governance agencies

and proposes corresponding measures. Results indicate that AI can provide new approaches to water conservancy facility inspection and management

facilitate a shift from “manual inspection” to “intelligent inspection”

and promote the digital and intelligent transformation of the water sector.
