Investigation on risk of induced earthquakes for CO2 geological storage in X block, Xihu Sag, East China Sea
“In the context of the "dual carbon" target, geological storage of CO2 in marine areas is an important development direction for CCUS technology. The East China Sea continental shelf basin, as a suitable area, lacks research on seismic hazard assessment. This study is based on Dietrich's velocity state friction law to explore the risk of CO2 injection induced earthquakes in Block X of the Xihu Depression in the East China Sea, providing theoretical support for the safety of CCUS projects.”
