This study investigates key technologies for large-scale carbon capture in coal-fired power plants
including the selection of key carbon capture equipment
system optimization
and coupling with power plants. It addresses challenges such as the large-scale deployment of carbon capture equipment and high energy consumption. The research findings have been applied to a demonstration project with an annual carbon capture capacity of 500
000 tons
which has successfully achieved commercial operation. The project significantly reduces carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants
with its carbon capture scale
capture energy consumption
capture power consumption
and amine escape rate all reaching world-leading levels. The research outcomes and the successful application of the demonstration project are pioneering
providing technical experience and support for ongoing full flue gas capture projects.
