Artificial cavity air storage exhibits notable advantages in site selection
it represent the primary development direction for future compressed air energy storage(CAES) power plants. Based on an analysis of the current development status of CAES power plants in China and abroad
this study conducts an instance-based study on site selection of an artificial cavity air storage CAES project in Northwestern China. While performing a multidimensional evaluation of the general layout design for above-ground power station. Subsequently
recommendations are put forward to introduce the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) methodology as a supplementary decision-making tool for site selection optimization. It can enhance the efficiency of site selection for artificial caverntype CAES power plants.
