According to the system composition of the 100 MW compressed air energy storage power station and the application status of the generator-motor
an application scheme of the generator-motor in the 100 MW compressed air energy storage power station is proposed
including the shafting connection scheme and the main electrical connection scheme based on the generator-motor
and the selection principle of the main electrical equipment is proposed. Each set of compressed air energy storage unit is equipped with a dual-shaft extension synchronous generator-motor
which is connected with the air turbine and compressor unit through the clutch at both ends respectively. The generator-motor
clutch
air turbine and compressor unit adopt coaxial arrangement. Under the condition of compression energy storage
the generator-motor operates as a motor to drive the compressor unit. Under the expansion power generation condition
the generator-motor operates as a generator
and the air turbine drives the generator-motor. This paper also explores the feasibility of the application of generator-motor in 300 MW compressed air energy storage power station.
