and high-efficiency development and utilization of wind energy is of great significance for advancing the national energy transition. Large-scale wind turbines are the core equipment for achieving the development and utilization of wind energy. The energy conversion system of a wind turbine refers to the wind-to-electricity energy conversion hub composed of blades and the generator system (including the generator
converter and transmission devices). It is also the system with the highest incidence of faults in wind turbines. With the continuous increase in the capacity of wind turbines
higher demands are placed on their service performance. This paper first analyzes the connotation of enhancing the service performance of the energy conversion system in large wind turbines. Next
this paper systematically elaborates on the existing technologies for improving the service performance of the energy conversion system in large wind turbines from three aspects
namely
operation safety
operational support capability
and operational efficiency. Finally
based on the development characteristics of large wind turbines and incorporating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and data-driven approaches
this paper provides an outlook on the future development trends of technologies for enhancing the service performance of the energy conversion system in large wind turbines.
