This paper optimizes the structure of conductor spacer dampers for voltage equalization and corona control in ultra-high altitude substations of Sichuan-Chongqing and subsequent UHV AC projects. The research is crucial for UHV AC transmission project construction and operation. Through simulations
the study analyzes the surface electric field distribution of spacer dampers in UHV substations and the impact of key structures and parameters. After multiple optimizations
anti-corona spacer damper structures with spherical
three-lobe outer ring
and thin-walled outer ring are proposed. High-altitude corona simulation tests in Tibet
based on electric field strength equivalence
verify these designs. Compared to the initial scheme
the surface electric field strengths of spacer dampers with the optimized spherical
three-lobe outer ring
and thin-walled outer ring are reduced by 46.9%
42.5% and 50.4%
respectively
meeting the control requirements. The anti-corona effect is also confirmed. Considering anti-corona performance
mechanical stability
and process feasibility
the thin-walled outer ring scheme with a 70 mm outer ring tube radius and 30 mm fastening part chamfer radius is recommended. The research methods and results offer a theoretical and practical basis for designing spacer dampers in ultra-high altitude UHV substations and transmission lines and for electromagnetic environment control in China.
