China abolished the mandatory energy storage policy for renewable energy resources
promoting the advancement of energy storage operations towards marketization. Shared energy storage system(SESS) represents a typical marketization mechanism and is poised to become a crucial development direction in the future. The operation optimization of SESS involves multi-party interactions and multi-scenario coordination issues
which has become a key focus of current research. The modes for centralized SESS operation optimization includes two types
anmely
"user jointly construction of SESS with ex-post allocation" and "hird-party construction of SESS with pricing and transaction". This study reviews the operational mechanisms and modeling methods of centralized SESS based on these two modes. Furthermore
according to the differences in models and scenario requirements
this study categorizes the solution methods applicable to centralized SESS optimization. Finally
this study outlines future research directions for optimizing SESS operations
aiming to expand the applicability of SESS mode
so as to align them more closely with marketization processes
and promote the coordinated development of renewable energy resources and SESS.
