The dead-time effect of dual active bridge (DAB) converter seriously affects soft switching performance and operating efficiency. In order to solve the problems caused by dead-time
such as reduced duty cycle
distorted working waveforms
hard switching
and reduced power transmission range of DAB converter
based on triple-phase-shift(TPS) modulation
by analyzing the electrical characteristics of the converter before and after adding a dead-time
switch drive pulses is designed to avoid the dead-time; by compensating for the phase shift ratios
the voltage on both sides of the inductor is compensated
therefore
a dead-time compensation control strategy based on triple-phase-shift(TPS-DTC) is proposed. The results show that the proposed dead-time compensation control strategy avoids problems such as the distortions of voltage and current and the reduced power range of soft switching caused by dead-time
etc. which can realize dead-time compensation in full-power range and improve working efficiency. Finally
the effectiveness of the proposed dead-time compensation control strategy is verified by experimental results.
