Tuning Free Feeder Selection and Section Location of High Impedance Grounding Fault for Distribution Network Based on the Features From Synchronous Lissajous Curve
The electrical characteristics of high impedance grounding faults in distribution network are affected by the grounding medium
network parameters and noise. Traditional feeder selection methods of high impedance grounding have poor applicability and reliability under complex fault scenarios. In response to this problem
the correction between differential voltage and feeder current of high resistance ground fault in resonant grounded system is analyzed. The Lissajous curve in characteristic frequency band are constructed
with the slope of curve selected as the criterion for fault feeder selection. Then
considering the influence of system compensation
damping ratio and length of fault line on the curve characteristics
the applicable boundary of Lissajous curve is deduced
and the principle for extending from fault feeder selection to section location are discussed. A tuning free fault feeder selection and section location method based on the synchronous Lissajous curve slope is proposed using synchronous waveforms synthesized from synchronous phasor measurement devices in distribution network and least squares fitting. Additionally
a group comparison method is used to compensate for the location dead zone under the scenarios of insufficient measurement. Finally
extensive simulation experiments and real-world case studies validated the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed method.
