Charging and Discharging Strategy for Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage Stations With Consideration of Frequency Regulation Ancillary Services Participation
there are limited engineering applications in domestic industrial and commercial energy storage stations participating in frequency regulation ancillary services
while the research of energy storage stations participating in ancillary services often originates from the perspective of the power grid. Therefore
there needs to be more research on charging and discharging strategies applicable to industrial and commercial energy storage stations that simultaneously participate in peak-valley arbitrage and frequency regulation auxiliary services. Based on the relevant policies in the power market of the southern power grid (starting with Guangdong)
this research proposes a charging and discharging strategy for industrial and commercial energy storage stations participating in frequency regulation ancillary services of the power grid. Based on clarifying the relationships among power operators
industrial and commercial customers
and their energy storage stations
the strategy establishes a constraint model for the revenue settlement and sharing of peak-valley arbitrage according to the contract energy management agreement. The constraint model introduces anti-backflow and in-feed power constraints for customer-side energy storage interconnection with the grid and develops a frequency regulation power output plan based on historical frequency statistical data. Therefore
a charging and discharging model for industrial and commercial energy storage stations is established
giving consideration to participating in frequency regulation ancillary services. Finally
the case studies have verified the feasibility of industrial and commercial energy storage stations participating in frequency regulation auxiliary services while expanding the service scope of industrial and commercial energy storage stations and significantly increasing commercial benefits.
