Optimal Current Control for Winding Segmented Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor Based on a Magnetic Equivalent Circuit Model
This paper proposes an optimal current control strategy based on the magnetic equivalent circuit (MEC) model for the winding segmented permanent magnet linear synchronous motor drive system
aiming to improve the tracking accuracy of the linear motor and reduce coil copper loss. Firstly
considering the Non-linear factors
the MEC model of the linear motor is systematically derived and the balance equation between various physical quantities is established to improve the model. Secondly
the air gap permeances is fitted using experimental measurement data to calibrate the MEC model. Then
based on the MEC model
the optimal current considering copper loss and expected thrust is obtained by solving the constrained optimization problem. The appropriate conduction time for calculating coil current is selected and combined with the independent coil current control strategy. Feedforward control and PI feedback control are employed to achieve accurate output of the linear motor thrust. Finally
the experimental platform is built to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed strategy through comparative experiments.
