The Online Power Flow Robustness Calculation Method Based on PMU Measurement Data
To ensure the safe and stable operation of new power systems
it is imperative to accelerate the improvement of novel dispatching systems. However
traditional dispatcher power flow calculation methods struggle to balance accuracy
real-time performance
and robustness against bad data. To fully utilize phasor measurement unit (PMU) measurement information while suppressing the impact of bad data on power flow results and achieving accurate real-time online state perception in power systems
this paper breaks through the conventional sequential processing mode of “state estimation- dispatcher power flow” and proposes an online robust power flow calculation method based on PMU measurement data. First
an accurate linear measurement model using PMU data is established
which ensures real-time performance by avoiding iterative computation through direct solving. Second
for node-type and branch-type measurement data
node voltages and branch currents are respectively employed as system state vectors to analyze the propagation of measurement errors to power flow results. Furthermore
under the constraint of solvable power flow equations
optimal measurement equation combinations are selected for power flow calculation by minimizing error propagation through the objective function. Finally
validation tests on the IEEE 39-node system and the Guangdong 500 kV transmission network within the China Southern Power Grid demonstrate that compared with conventional methods
the proposed approach exhibits superior accuracy and real-time performance. When compared with linear methods using different measurement equation combinations
it effectively reduces the impact of bad data on power flow results
