Comparison and Analysis of Grid-connection Test Technical Standards for Grid-forming Energy Storage Converters in the Context of New Power System Construction
As the penetration rate of new energy generation rapidly increases
grid-forming energy storage converters
serving as core equipment for the stable operation of new power systems
face a critical bottleneck in their large-scale application: the uniformity and scientificity of grid-connected testing technical standards. This paper focuses on the grid-connected testing technical standards for grid-forming energy storage converters. It systematically conducts a comparative analysis of the technical specifications in the United States
Europe
and China from four dimensions: the development history of the standards
the testing indicators for power grid support functions
the requirements for single unit performance testing
and the testing method system. Based on the differences between domestic and international standards
this study expounds the quantitative functional indicators and testing specification requirements under the two respective system
and conducts an in-depth analysis of the technical implementation paths and verification methods for typical test scenarios. By comparing the characteristics of different standards in terms of the refinement level of testing indicators
the applicability of testing methods
and the engineering implementation paths
and combining with the requirements for constructing new power systems
this paper presents a vision for the international collaboration
multi-scenario adaptation
and integration of cutting-edge technologies in testing technical standards for grid-forming converters. The findings provide references for relevant technical research and engineering practices.
