operating losses and system stability of distant offshore wind power grid-connected system
this paper proposes a low-cost and high-efficiency distant offshore wind DC collection and transmission system. Firstly
this paper describes the structure of the proposed gigawatt-level DC collection and transmission system in detail
focusing on the modular multi-level DC turbine topology and the arm shared DC transformer topology applicable to this system. Then
the operating control strategy for this system is designed
followed by the feasibility and effectiveness of the system functions verified via simulations and experiments. Finally
a comprehensive comparison among the proposed DC system
the offshore flexible DC system and the low-frequency AC system is evaluated. The results reveal that the proposed DC system has considerable techno-economic performance.
