A Dual-three Phase Soft Switching Motor Drive Topology and Modulation Strategy With Low Common Mode Voltage
For dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (DT-PMSM) applications
this paper proposes a novel dual three-phase synchronous auxiliary resonant pole (DTSARCP) soft-switching inverter topology and an adaptive edge-aligned pulse-width modulation strategy (AEA-PWM). The proposed topology employs two resonant inductors for synchronous assistance
achieving zero-voltage switching (ZVS) for all main circuit switches
thereby effectively reducing the switching losses of the main switches. The proposed modulation strategy simplifies the control complexity of the auxiliary circuit through synchronous assistance
minimizing the utilization of control resources. An analysis of the switching vector transitions under the proposed strategy shows that it also suppresses the common-mode voltage of the dual three-phase system to 0.167Udc. Finally
simulations and experiments validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
