Research on Triple Regulation PST Topology and Its Power Flow Regulation Characteristics
China is actively building a new type of power system
but the current complex power network is prone to problems of unbalanced power flow distribution
which are exacerbated by volatility of new energy sources. The power grid urgently needs effective power flow regulation technology. Phase shifting transformers have the advantages of strong power flow regulation capability
low investment
and high reliability
and have been widely used internationally. However
traditional phase shifting transformers can only achieve discrete adjustment
with low adjustment accuracy and limited amplitude regulation capability. Therefore
this article proposes a triple regulation phase shifting transformer
which has strong amplitude regulation capability with high accuracy. Based on its topology structure
this article analyzes its input-output characteristics
investigates the properties and distribution of compensation voltage
and establishes boundary equations from the constraint effects of single amplitude modulation and dual phase modulation. The power flow regulation range is quantitatively analyzed to obtain the maximum expression and calculation method of the power flow regulation range under different conditions. Finally
virtual simulation and physical experiments prove that this structure can effectively increase the number of regulation points
