Divisional Control of Air-cooled Fan Cluster Based on Temperature Characteristics of Finned Tubes
To explore the industrial implementation of divisional control for air-cooled fan groups
the heat transfer process of finned tubes is simulated
and the tube’s temperature distribution laws
especially its characteristic parameter and influencing factors
are obtained. Relying on a 660 MW direct air-cooled unit
a large number of digital temperature sensors arranged on the upper side of the air-cooled condenser are used to capture the characteristic parameter of finned tubes for each fan cooling cell online
and the divisional control strategy of the fan group taking the characteristic parameter as the core is proposed and achieved industrial application
in which the 64 fans are divided into 16 parts to be controlled separately. The operation results show that after the partition control of the air-cooled fan cluster
the power saving rate of the fans can reach over 48.77%
and the effective area of the entire air-cooled condenser increases. The work provides theoretical basis and engineering implementation methods for industrial applications of divisional control of the fan cluster
and presents the improvement for anti-freezing of air condensers and optimization of unit backpressure.
