Based on the data of WAMS system

the evaluation and parameter checking method of PSS regulation performance were studied at generator tripping.Firstly

the principle of PSS regulation performance is explained based on phase shift principle.Secondly

the simulation calculation of the generator tripping is carried out under the three conditions of rated active power

50% rated active power

and generator feed phase.Then

the WAMS data of a fault shutdown accident was analyzed in the actual power grid

and a step was taken to verify the validity of the PSS parameters by the phase difference between active power and PSS output signal

and the correctness of the PSS parameters was verified by the field load step test.the effectiveness of the method is demonstrated by the combination of theoretical analysis

simulation calculation and field test

the result has positive significance for improving the performance of PSS.
