Abstract

A steam turbine is a large rotary engine with high speed. The accuracy of speed monitoring is a considerably important factor to guarantee the safety of the unit. Over speed will destroy the unit seriously. So it is very important to pay more attention to the speed monitor protection. Based on the structure analysis of the unit

both causes and preventive measures of the speed sensor destroying are put forward.
