Analysis and Improvement Measures of Lubricating Oil System Trip for New Type of Large-capacity Synchronous Condenser
With the large-scale construction of long-distance DC transmission network
the capacity demand of reactive compensation of converter station is increasing. As an important dynamic reactive compensation device
the synchronous condenser plays an important role in maintaining voltage stability. The lubricating oil system
as an important part of the phase modifier project
is the basis for the safe and stable operation of the synchronous condenser. At present
as the supporting application of the new large-capacity synchronous condenser in the power grid is still in its infancy
the design of the lubricating oil system is not mature
and some parameters are not reasonably set
which poses potential risks for the stable operation of the synchronous condenser and even the entire power grid. In this paper
an in-depth analysis of the defect of the reserve pump startup delay of the lubricating oil system is carried out based on the low-jump event of the lubricating oil master pipe of the phase modifier during the power reverse operation of the primary station for a certain converter station. The corresponding improvement measures are put forward and verified by field test.
