Using the upstream reservoir area of Pengshui hydropower station as a test site
this study employed InSAR technology and time-series Sentinel- 1ASAR data from 2019 to 2021 to systematically monitor surface deformation in the reservoir area. It accurately identified deformation zones within a 5-km buffer zone around the reservoir and conducted detailed statistical analyses of the location
area
and number of these zones. Based on these findings and combined with field survey data
early identification of geological hazard risks was conducted
achieving an identification rate of approximately 70%. This study has effectively enhanced the capacity for prevention
control
and early warning of geological hazards in the reservoir area. It holds significant practical importance for ensuring the safe and stable operation of Pengshui hydropower station and safeguarding the lives and property of the local population.
