To improve the service performance of asphalt concrete panels
it is proposed to modify as_ phalt concrete with hydrated lime and waste rubber powder. Porosity
low-temperature crack resistance and slope flow tests of modified asphalt concrete with different contents of waste rubber powder and hy_ drated lime are conducted. The results indicate that the two modified materials have significant effects on improving the low-temperature crack resistance and thermal stability of asphalt concrete
and there is certain positive synergistic effect. Taking into account the experimental results and engineering eco _ nomics
it is recommended to simultaneously add 3% hydrated lime and 10% waste rubber powder. Com_ pared with the scheme of adding a single modifier
this scheme has good effect on improving the low- temperature and high-temperature performance of asphalt concrete
which is recommended for use in construction of asphalt concrete face rockfill dams.
