To study the stability of jointed rock mass of the underground caverns in Shuangjiangkou Hydropower Project in Sichuan province
elastoplastic model and jointed rock mass fracture damage model are adopted for numerical analysis. In the elastoplastic model
the supporting effect of the cable and anchor string are simulated by equivalent anchoring method. Based on damage mechanics and fracture mechanics
damage constitutive model and damage evolution equation are utilized to develop subprogram under the framework of the fast Lagrangian analysis of continua in three dimensions(FLAC3D); and the stability influence of underground caverns caused by joints and cracks are under consideration. Then
rock plastic zone
damage evolution area and displacement law are proposed on the basis of models and subprogram mentioned above. At last
the results calculated by the two models are compared with data from geology structural model experiment. The results show that the jointed rock mass fracture damage model is more accurate
