Comparison between Priebe’s method and elastic analytical solution of unit cell for composite foundations
Based on the analytical solution of stresses and deformations for composite foundations with equal strain assumption
the expressions for stress ratio
settlement ratio
radial displacement and lateral pressure coefficient are obtained. The variations with the ratio of compression modulus and the ratio of area replacement are illustrated and compared with the Priebe’s method. The influences of assumptions in Priebe’s method on computational results are also analyzed in detail. The analytical results show that the assumption of ignoring volumetric strain of pile should induce obvious errors in Priebe’s method; and the composite influences of assumptions of radial displacement computation and lateral pressure coefficients are relatively small as a result of counteracting of each influence
Theoretical study on consolidation of composite foundation with composite piles considering spatiotemporal effect of stress under bidirectional seepage
Analysis of the horizontal vibration of an end-bearing pile embedded in a transversely isotropic soil
Analytical solution for one-dimensional transient seepage of water in the unsaturated vegetated soil considering the effects of roots on hydrological properties
Study of method for determining bearing capacity of composite foundation by in-situ loading test
Analytical solution for consolidation of composite foundation with sand drains and cement-soil mixing piles
