Laboratory simulation study of the ultimate bearing capacity of the man-made crust over dredged wastes dump sites
For the bearing capacity problems of man-made crust (MMC) with solidified dredged sediment over dredged wastes dump sites
the effects of the MMC unconfined compressive strength
MMC thickness and sediment undrained shear strength to the ultimate bearing capacity of the MMC over dredged wastes dump sites were studied with model test. Test results show that the ultimate bearing capacity increases exponentially with the increase of MMC unconfined compressive strength
and increases linearly with the increase of MMC thickness.
