High excess pore water pressure will rise in the core wall of the earth dam during the construction period. For the high earth dam

the excess pore water pressure produced in the core wall of the earth dam during construction can not be effectively dissipated

which influences the stability and safety of the project. So the dam interior will possibly present the high pore water pressure. The influences of water content and construction progress on the pore water pressure are analyzed

based on monitored data. So，strengthening the pore water pressure monitoring and analysis during the construction period is important to the construction and design guidance and the safty of the dam.
