The microstructure property on Shanghai mucky clay and its structural evolution during one dimensional consolidation test
The soil microstructure has a significant influence on engineering mechanical behavior. SEM tests are dealt with Shanghai intact mucky clay in different consolidated pressures during one dimensional consolidation test. And particles (including aggregate shape
mean surface area and orientation distribution) both from horizontal cut plane and vertical cut plane of the specimen are analysed and compared. In addition
the pore of soil has been analysed by means of mercury intrusion porosimetry test. Through these analyses
it is concluded that the soil represents character of damage gradually and material anisotropy during loading condition from tests above.
