recommended or prescribed compulsorily in many engineering codes at home and abroad
are used to evaluate rock landslide stability. Because of the localization of limit equilibrium
there are lots of inconsequence about them. Therefore
how to improve limit equilibrium methods is one of the most important tasks in geo-technical engineering. Considering obvious weak slip zone occurring within rock landslide
the authors bring forward the different slip zone analysis methods during the calculation of finite element
and present the method combining the finite element method with non-equilibrium push transmission method used often in engineering. The method applied is used to calculate Qiancaotuo landslide stability
whose result is compared to that of non-equilibrium push transmission method based on limit equilibrium theory of rigid body. The comparison indicates that the proposed method is reliable
