Abstract

This Paper gives an analytical solution of the interaction between confining rock and lining in viscoelastic-plastic rock media for the axia11y symmetrical case

The complex conditions due to long-term plastic limitation and existence of the deteriorated plastic region are specially considered

It indicates that loading on lining relates to range of plastic region

lining time and a series of physical

mechanical

geometrical factors concerning confining rock and lining

The loading on lining can be determined quantitatively

and the most reasonable lining time is derived. Several calculation examples are given herein .
