The control strategy of 48 V mild hybrid system was researched
including the start-stop
braking energy recovery
torque boost and battery management system. Then
a simulation model for 48 V system was built with the Advisor
a king of vehicle dynamics simulation software. The simulation results were compared with the experiment results of 12 V system. The conclusion is as follows: the 48 V system can get 5% fuel saving in the NEDC test cycle with start-stop
same as 12 V system. Due to use of the 12 kW start-stop motor
the 48 V system can save more fuel with the braking energy recovery
totally getting 13% gasoline saving in the NEDC test cycle. In addition
the torque boost can provide 20 to 30 N•m torque for vehicle
which can regulate the SOC of battery and optimize engine operating points.
