Cyclic calcination/carbonation CO2 capture is one of the most promising methods at the present stage. However
the cycle stability of the method has been the problem. This is mainly due to the sinter occurred in the calcination stage at high temperature which leads to lower porosity and inhibite CO2 diffusion through these pores and carbonate with CaO. The mechanism and influence factor of sintering are analysed
and the research findings at home and abroad in enhancing the anti-sintering performance of the sorbents are summarized. The theoretical support for the research of cyclic calcination/carbonation is provided.
