Abstract
The natural wind
especially the crosswind
can lead to back-flow of the hot wind to result in heat-exchange degradation of the condenser
having remarkable effect upon the safe and economic operation of direct air-cooled units.By using commercial software FLUENT
the influence of different speed crosswind upon the flow field of direct air-cooled platform has been simulated
the main factors affecting safe and economic operation of direct air-cooled system being studied and analysed
the measures and preliminary scheme for resisting natural crosswind to hurt direct air-cooled units in China
such as the height of wind-retaining wall
and extraction of hot air from outlet above the air-cooled condenser etc.
being put forward. After implementation of above-mentioned measures
the back flow of hot wind can be effectively restrained and eliminated
providing theoritical basis for avoiding the harmfullness of crosswind in practical operation.
