STUDY ON DETERMINATION METHOD OF HAZARDOUS ELEMENTS IN FUEL COAL AND OTHER SOLID BY-PRODUCTS IN THERMAL POWER PLANTS,THEIR MIGRATION RULES DURING COMBUSTION,AND THEIR INFLUENCE UPON ENVIRONMENT
In order to study the distribution of hazardous elements in combustion residues of fuel coal and in other solid by-products in thermal power plants
and their influence upon the surrounding environment
some fuel coal and their solid by-products
i.e.fly ash
slag
gypsum in wet FGD
and sludge in wastewater of FGD etc.
in a few coal-fired power plants have been sychronously sampled
and a set of test methods more appropriate to application being formulated according to relevant testingstandards
the hazardous elements in said samples
i.e.chronium
cadmum
lead
arsenic
and mercury
being tested
and the test results being analysed by using statistical examination method
so as demonstrate whether the non-solid substances exist in each hazardous element after combustion
and to examine the enrichment behavior of each hazardous element after combustion.Thereby
the migration rules of hazardous elements in fuel coal during combustion process in thermal power plants have been demonstrated. Results of study show that the content of heavy metal elements in fly ash and sludge is relatively higher
and having large tendency to environment pollution
it is recommended to adopt measures for preventing said elements from entering into the surface water to pollute the environment. Moreover
the problems related to environment protection regulations currently in effect for hazardous elements emission from thermal power plants have been discussed
and it is suggested to strengthen the detection of hazardous elements in solid by-products resulting from operation process of power plants and the post-evaluation work.
