and a non-contact type real-time coal quality analyser without radio-active source

namely real-time and multi-purpose NIR coal quality analyser

being expounded.By using said NIR analyser

the calorific value

water content

ash content

and volatile matter content etc.in fuel coal can be analyzed in real-time.Combined with sampling and preparing facilities for plant-incoming coal

furnace-entering coal

and pulverized coal before entering the furnace to make a complete set

the automation of whole process in sampling and preparing coal samples and multi-purpose coal quality analysis can be realized.The analysis of mixed coal samples in one power plant by using the said NIR coal quality analyser shows that the results obtained is very close to that of artificial analysis in the laboratory

tallying with the requirements of standard.
