Particulate matter emissions beyond the standard occurred in a coal-fired power plant

which is caused by damage of some filter bags in bag house.The unit operation parameters

the bag house structure and the apparent damage situation of the filter bags were analyzed.A series of tests such as the residual tensile strength/elongation test

the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)analysis and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)were performed to conduct comprehensive analysis on reason of damage at filter bag mouth and bottom

bag cage bottom cap

and outer layer of the filter bottom.Finally

several countermeasures were put forward

such as detecting and accepting the new filter bags according to corresponding standards

random inspecting the running bags regularly

ensuring the position deviation between the centerline of stream sprayed from the nozzles and the bag center be within 2mm

ensuring the bag cage be installed vertically

conducting anti-corrosion treatment or changing the bag cage timely

checking the system air leakage and repairing it timely.
