Experimental study on preparation of the activated carbon-supported vanadium oxide catalyst
The effects of preparation conditions of the activated carbon-supported vanadium oxide catalyst(V2O5/AC)on its NOxremoval activity were investigated in a fixed bed reactor. The results suggests that the HNO3 pretreatment can promote the NOx removal efficienty of the V2O5/AC catalyst. The optimal load of V on V2O5/AC catalyst is 3%.Further more
the precursor of the active component can be decomposed completely at above 450℃
and the optimal pre-oxidation temperature is 230℃.The activated carbon supporter will react with O2 when the temperature of prec-oxidation exceeds 230℃
leading to the V2O5 aggregation on the activated carbon supporter. In conclusion a highly stable NOxremoval performance can be achieved by the prepared V2O5/AC catalyst
