Characterization and adsorption properties of SPEEK/PES composite membranes for flue gas dehydration
To solve the problems of large water consumption and overcome the difficulties in water saving in thermal power plants
a new idea of recycling water vapor from flue gas by using hollow fiber composite membranes was proposed. The SPEEK was sprayed on to the PES surface
and the production process of the SPEEK/PES hollow fiber composite membrane was presented.Via the TG/DSC analysis and nitrogen/water vapor adsorption test
the membrane's properties were investigated. The results show that
this kind of composite membrane performs well in heat resistance
and its adsorption ability for water enhanced with an increase in the SPEEK's sulfonation degree
indicating this membrane is suitable for trapping water vapor from flue gas in thermal power plants.
