Effect of chlorine and fluorine elements on mercury species and its distribution in flue gas
The effect of F-and Cl-formed during coal combustion on mercury species and its distribution at100 kPa and 50℃to 950℃ was investigated by using the chemical thermodynamic equilibrium method. The results indicate that elemental mercury is the main form in the maximum temperature zone of coal combustion. With the reduction of temperature
the elemental mercury will convert into bivalent mercury compound
which is mainly HgCl2(g)
through chemical reaction.In addition
the increase of chlorine element can lead to acceleration in mercury evaporation. However
the fluorine element nearly has no influence on mercury's behavior in the flue gas.
