Experimental study on catalytic co-gasification characteristics of pine sawdust and lignite
In order to realize the characteristics of pine sawdust and lignite catalytic gasification in depth
the pine sawdust was deashed with HCl previously
then the functions of alkali and alkaline earth metals in the pine sawdust ash were analyzed by using synchronous thermal analyzer(STA).Moreover
catalyst(K2CO3and CaO)with different concentrations was tried to be added into the deashed mixed samples to investigate the influence of catalyst concentration and types on co-gasification characteristics of pine sawdust and lignite. The test results show that deashing pretreatment had little effect on biomass' s alone gasification.Through comparison between the test result of wood/coal sample and deashing sawdust/coal sample
it would be ascertained that the alkali and alkaline earth metals in biomass ash had a catalytic function on cogasification of biomass and coal
of which the K2CO3's catalyst effect turned to be obvious at temperatures higher than 650 ℃ and the maximum coke gasification rate increased first and then decreased with an increase in K2CO3's proportion. When the proportion of K2CO3 reached 7%
the deashed sawdust/coal sample had the highest gasification rate
showing a better catalytic effect than other catelysts.Furthermore
with the same concentrations
the CaO had weaker catalytic effect than K2CO3
but its devolatilization rate was higher than K2CO3 through the entire devolatilization stage.
