The conventional PID controller cannot obtain good control effects in reheat steam temperature for supercritical power units. Thus
designed by multiple capacity process( MCP) standard transfer function
the cascade compensation and state-variable feedback Harmony( CSH) controller was adopted to control the reheat steam temperature. The simulation experiments show that
during the setting value disturbance test
response of the new control system has no overshoot and the regulation time is short. During the fuel disturbance test
the maximum dynamic deviation of the new control system's response is only 50% of that of the conventional PID control system. During the robustness test
the new control system con still keep great control quality when the process inertia time increases by32% or the process gain decreases by 80%. Therefore
the new control system has a better control quality on reheat steam temperature than the conventional PID control system.
