A two-stage cascade compound atomizing nozzle for biomass pyrolysis oil at room temperature:design and simulation
Biomass pyrolysis oil is a kind of renewable energy with low carbon and environmental protection
which is produced by agricultural and forestry waste with biomass pyrolysis technology.Due to strong viscosity
large density and high surface tension
the atomization of the biomass pyrolysis fuel at room temperature is very difficult. Thus
this paper has designed a kind of new type room temperature atomizing nozzle
which has two tandem composite structure including the internal mixing and Y type atomizing. The biomass pyrolysis fuel is preliminarily atomized with the compressed air to produce oil and gas mixture flow. The second-stage atomizing nozzle is Y type nozzles. The oil and gas mixture flow and high speed airflow enters the mixing chamber respectively by the oil holes and the gas holes. They collide together and cause small size oil drops break up further. Moreover
the normal temperature atomization process of the new type two-stage is simulated by the Fluent software
and the simulation results show that the particle atomized by this nozzle has similar size and uniform dispersion
which is helpful to the full combustion of biomass pyrolysis oil.
