The mercury oxidation ability of a molybdenum modified carbon nanotube carrying manganese(Mn-Mo/CNT)was studied in O_2/CO_2 combustion flue gas.The results suggest that high CO_2 content strongly inhibited the mercury oxidized by this catalyst because CO_2 could react with manganese dioxide on the catalyst surface.High SO_2 concentration could promote the mercury oxidization
but the presence of SO_2 could not eliminate the adverse effect of CO_2.High H_2O concentration did not show any effect on the mercury oxidized by this catalyst in the existence of high CO_2 content. However
for the catalyst has stronger adsorption ability on HCl than CO_2
low content HCl could completely eliminate the unfavorable effect of CO_2 on mercury oxidized by this catalyst.
