Numerical simulation on single channel catalyst in selective catalytic reduction system
Considering the influence of internal and external diffusion and the adsorption of ammonia
the Fluent software was applied to establish the three dimensional model for single channel catalyst during selective catalytic reduction denitration process. On the basis of the E-R reaction kinetics
the effects of operation parameters and catalyst layer thickness on the denitration efficiency and SO_2 conversion rate were investigated. The simulation results show that
the denitration reaction has a wide operating temperature window which ranges from 553 Kto 653K.At temperature above 653 K
with the aggravation of the side effects
the denitration efficiency decreased significantly.Along the flow gas flowing direction in the catalyst
the reaction temperature rises slightly
but the exothermic phenomenon is not obvious. With an increase in mole ratio of NH_3 to NO
the denitration efficiency and ammonia escape rate increased while the conversion rate of SO_2 decreased.High space velocity can reduce both the denitration efficiency and the SO_2 conversion rate.In addition
the SO_2 conversion rate increases linearly with wall thickness of the catalyst.Due to the limitation of inner diffusion
the denitration efficiency drops significantly with the increasing catalyst wall thickness.
