In coal-fired power plants

the fieldbus commissioning process is lack of standardization

this paper summarized the Profibus and FF fieldbus commissioning methods and the matters needing attentions

on the basis of the fieldbus commissioning process in Huaneng Jiutai power plant and Huaneng Jinling gas turbine power plant.Moreover

the phenomena commonly occurred during the fieldbus control system commissioning process were analyzed

such as the communication failure in fieldbus link

the communication failure at a certain point in the fieldbus link

the instability of multiple signals in the same fieldbus link.Furthermore

several reasons causing the failures were put forward.It suggests that the fieldbus commissioning should be performed according to the following procedure.First of all

we should know well about the fieldbus communication system

then check the cable

wiring and the integrity of the bus link

and test the bus equipment.At last

carry out equipment parameter check and transmission confirmation.
