The CeO_2-MoO_3/TiO_2 type non-vanadium denitrification catalysts were prepared by taking CeO_2 as the active component and MoO_3 as the promoter.Experiments were performed to investigate the effects of the active component

carrier
preparation and pretreatment methods on activity of the CeO_2-MoO_3/TiO_2 catalysts.Moreover
the results were compared with that of the conventional V2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2 and V2O_5-MoO_3/TiO_2 catalysts which takes V2O_5 as the active component.The results indicated that
the CeO_2-based catalysts possessed the similar high denitrification efficiency as the conventional V2O_5-based catalysts.The promoter MoO_3 can enhance the catalyst activity
which was better than the WO_3.Compared with the catalysts prepared by the co-precipitation method
the ones prepared by the incipient wetness impregnation method had larger specific surface area and higher activity.Pretreating with sulfuric acid will decrease the activity of the catalysts
while pretreating with SO_2 could promote the catalysts' activity.The denitrification efficiency of 5Ce-5Mo/TiO_2 catalyst pretreated by SO_2 reached 89.15%at 350℃ with space velocity of 75 000h-1.
